A Dream Pantry Makeover
I thought I'd do something a little different this month and showcase one of my favourite recent transformations.
Organizing a pantry is one of my favourite things to do and this one turned out to be the perfect example of how much of a difference organizing can make.
Lisa contacted me after buying a gift card at an event supporting the Kingston Youth Shelter last summer. She has built her dream home and decided to use the gift card to transform her beautiful pantry. The house has so many beautiful features including the pantry (shout out to Maddee Rose for the beautiful design) It just needed a little help to make it easy to keep it organized and functional.
The vision
After our initial consultation I knew I wanted to play off the wood countertop and white shelves. The vision for this pantry was natural, warm and minimal. This client had some beautiful canisters from her grandmother and some large wicker baskets that I incorporated into the plan which helped keep the product cost down. I put my ideas together to create a vision, this helps ensure the client and I are on the same page about the outcome as well as product budget.
After
As you can see I incorporated wood bins and turntables to keep things natural, I used bamboo top glass canisters and white Ikea bins to contain some of the trickier packaging. I grouped similar items together creating spaces for snacks, breakfast, Meal planning and Baking. Below I created a drink section, one for fondue, one for small appliances, & salty snacks, Cleaning supplies and drink containers. The final step was adding labels, These were designed in Canva with some printed ahead and the others printed the day of on my favourite brother label maker.
